BRAMPTON – Loblaw is cutting 275 jobs — largely management and administrative — at its offices countrywide, a company spokesperson confirmed to 680News.
About 200 of the positions are at the Brampton head office.
The layoffs come as the company tries to stay competitive and streamline its operation.
Employees will be notified over the next few days.
Its acquisition of Shoppers Drug Mart Corp. for $12.4 billion still requires approval from the Competition Bureau.
